Responsibilities of the Department of Research/Sathri for direct admission

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE DEPARTMENT OF RESEARCH/SATHRI FOR DIRECT ADMISSION
To screen the candidates according to criteria laid by the Committee for Research and to recommend them for admission.
To recommend to the Committee for Research persons to be appointed as supervisors for the Assessment period.
To place candidates in close proximity to Supervisors who are specialists in his/her field of study and to attach them to a Research Centre.
To place before the Committee for Research the entire plan of study of each candidate for approval.
To implement the programme of studies for each candidate as per regulations laid down from time to time by the Committee for Research;
To facilitate and encourage the candidates to meet periodically with the faculty of the research centre for Seminars of interdisciplinary nature.
To arrange for exposure programmes for the students, who require to have an exposure outside India as recommended by the Supervisor/Dissertation guide.
To help students to find necessary scholarships for the sponsoring institutions or from other sources.
