REGISTRATION for D.TH Course


Fresh Registration


  • When admission procedure is completed, the Centre shall forward the prescribed form of registration to the Dean of Research/SATHRI with the stipulated registration fee on or before 15th July, with late fee 31st July every academic year. The Dean shall forward the Registration Forms to the Registrar of the Senate for necessary action.
  • All candidates beyond the first year of their residency should remit their research coordination fee and publication fee to the Department of Research/SATHRI on or before 31st August every academic year.
  • Candidates who continue their study even after the required residential period should remit the Research Coordination Fee and Publication fee to the Department of Research/SATHRI on or before 31st August every academic year till the submission of his/her dissertation or till the expiry of the Registration period.
  • The candidates shall be in full-time residential study for at least two years after the completion of the Assessment Period.
  • All candidates beyond the residential period should submit a Performa stating their contact information and submit their progress report from the supervisor to the Department of Research/SATHRI through the respective doctoral research centre.

EXTENSION OF REGISTRATION


  • A candidate, who is unable to finish his/her research work within the stipulated time of 7 years from the date of admission, may apply for an extension to the Dean Research/SATHRI before the expiry of the registration by paying the required fee fixed from time to time by the SSC.
  • The Dean shall place the request for extension to the Research Committee for necessary action.
  • The extension of registration shall depend upon the decision of the Committee for Research based on the recommendation by the doctoral centre and on the willingness of the guide to continue to be his/her guide.
  • The maximum period of extension of Registration shall be two years.

RE-REGISTRATION


  • A candidate whose Dissertation was rejected may reapply for reconsideration of his/her case;
  • In the event of reconsideration by the Committee for Research, such candidate may be considered as fresh registration (re-registration);
  • Re-registered candidate may be exempted from the Assessment period, but required to do a minimum of one year of residency;
  • Candidate should submit a fresh dissertation proposal;
  • Candidate should re-register directly with the Department of Research/SATHRI with the full payment of all admissible fees;
  • Such candidate should complete their programme in three years, including the one year of residency.
